How do I get to Lorraines?
Lorraine’s is Located above The Robin Hood Hotel. Enter the hotel and make your
way up the staircase in the centre of the pub.
Is there any parking?
There is no car park attached to the hotel. However, there is street parking available. Please make sure you read the road signs before parking.
There is a short stay car park available on Victoria Street, a 2 minute walk to the venue.
How easy is it to get to via public transport?
We are a 5-minute bus ride from Bondi Junction train Station.
There are many bus routes which stop just outside Lorraine’s Bistro, including the 313, 390, 350, 379.
Is there any accommodation close by?
We are located 5 minutes from Bondi Junction and 30 minutes from the CBD. There are many options for hotels available in both areas.
Is Lorraines accessible for guests with limited mobility?
Lorraine’s is wheelchair accessible. You can locate the entrance with a ramp on Bronte Road, the door closest to the traffic lights. Once inside, there is a lift inside to go up to Lorraines.
Is there a venue hire fee?
We don’t charge a venue hire fee. Our functions spaces are available for hire with a
minimum spend. This minimum spend is based on the day, time, and the space for
your function and can be met through both catering and beverage purchases during
your event.
Our functions team will be able to provide you more detail regarding the minimum
spend once details are known.
Do you charge a cakeage fee?
You are more than welcome to bring a cake along to your function free of charge.
A cakeage fee of $3 per guest may apply, but only if you would like the kitchen to cut and serve the cake.
Can I bring decorations?
You are more than welcome to bring decorations, including flowers, balloons, signs and more.
When finalising details with the functions team, our function manager can help you with deciding your layout decorations.
The function host is responsible for set up and removing any decorations.
Please note that we do not allow confetti in our venue.
What's included?
The hire of one of our function spaces includes, adequate staffing, set up, clean up, crockery, cutlery and use of audio visual equipment & party lights.
What's not included?
Extra items which are not included within the hire of one of our function areas include, table cloths, table hire and any additional costs the venue may incur with items which we do not already have available on site.
Are there any hidden charges?
No! Our minimum spend covers the cost of staffing, clean up and set up.
Can children attend my function?
Children are welcome to attend functions until 10pm. At this time, as we are a
licenced venue, all guests under the age of 18 will have to leave the venue.
If you have guests who are between 18 and 25 years of age, please make sure they
know to bring a valid form of ID with them on the day.
Can we hire a member of security for our function?
If you would like a security member of staff we can provide this through our contracted company.
This is at a cost of $75 per security staff member, for a minimum of 5 hours.
Larger functions over 80 guests may be required to have a member of security.
When are is Lorraine’s licenced to sell alcohol until?
On Friday and Saturday nights, Lorraine’s can be open until 2am.
We close the bar 30 minutes before your function end time.
Can I host an 18 th birthday party at Lorraine’s Bistro?
Due to responsible service of alcohol policies, we are unable to host 18 th , 19 th or 20 th birthday parties. 21 st birthday parties are subject to a few conditions such as catering must be purchased for the event and we are unable to provide pre-paid beverage packages.
